In December 2022, CRUE, actively engaged in European and global debates on the need to reform research assessment models, joined the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (CoARA) and signed the Agreement on Reforming Research Assessment (ARRA). Since then, CRUE has actively participated, committing to promoting and fostering new approaches to research assessment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As an association of universities, CRUE supports and promotes initiatives that strengthen the Spanish University System (SUE) in all its dimensions. In this regard, it serves as a key unifying force between public and private universities and public policies, driving reforms to enhance educational quality, research, and internationalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 12 December 2024, in line with its commitments to CoARA, CRUE\u2019s leadership presented the \u201cCRUE Action Plan at the Coalition for Advancing Research Assesment (CoARA), 2024-2027\u201d to its Governing Board. This plan outlines the actions and initiatives that the association commits to implementing during this period to advance a new research assessment culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The plan has been developed in accordance with the recommendations from Support for CoARA Signatories in the Preparation of Action Plans and following a consultation process with representatives from CRUE\u2019s R&D&I sector, the CRUE Commission for Open Science, and CRUE\u2019s General Secretariat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
