Crue Spanish Universities, the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) are preparing the presentation of a proposal for a Spanish Chapter of Spanish institutions in the Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment (COARA).

Crue’s candidate Josep Maria Garrell has been elected new President of the European University Association (EUA) for the next four years (2023-2027) during the association’s General Assembly meeting held in Gdańsk (Poland) on Thursday, April 20. Garrell, who ran for this election with the British candidate, Janet Beer (University of Liverpool), and the Serbian candidate, Ivanka Popović (University of Belgrade), has obtained over 70% of the votes
EUA Autonomy Scorecard tool to measure the level of autonomy of Spanish universities in relation to Europe
Madrid, February 17. Crue Universidades Españolas has participated in a testimonial video of the European Association of Universities (EUA) on the usefulness of the Autonomy Scorecard of this organisation, which collects, monitors and compares data on autonomy of European university systems. The EUA is preparing the fourth edition of the Autonomy Scorecard, with information from 35 European Higher Education systems. This report has been produced since 2010 and the last edition was published in 2017
First edition of the ConSIMium Project: six Spanish students step into the shoes of European leaders
Brussels, February 3, 2023. Six Spanish university students, selected by Crue Spanish Universities, participated on 2 and 3 February in Brussels in the ConSIMium initiative of the Council of the European Union, which consists of a simulation exercise in which 27 teams from EU Member States experience first-hand the negotiations of their leaders and the decision-making process in Europe.
