National Rectors’ Conferences call for stronger human rights safeguards in FP10

The rectors’ conferences of Austria, Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain call on the European institutions to include stronger human rights safeguards in the next European framework programme for research and innovation (FP10, 2028–2034). They ask that respect for human rights become an explicit condition for participation in the programme and that organisations involved in serious or systematic violations be excluded. Through this joint call, the rectors’ conferences aim to ensure that international research cooperation remains fully aligned with the fundamental values of the European Union.
