Crue initiates the work on reforming academic career assessment within CoARA
On the 27th October 2023, Crue Spanish Universities participated in the kickoff event of the working group on reforming Academic Career Assessment (ACA), led by the European University Association (EUA) and the Young Academy of Europe (YAE).
Crue President meets in Brussels with the French, Czech and Swedish Rectors’ Conferences and participates in the EUA Council

The President of Crue Universidades Españolas and Rector of the Universitat Jaume I, Eva Alcón, met this Thursday, 26 October, in Brussels, with representatives of France Universités (FU), the Czech Rectors’ Conference (CRC), the Swedish Association of Higher Education Institutions (SUHF) and the European University Association (EUA), with the aim of strengthening institutional alliances to reach agreements and joint actions on policy priorities for Higher Education in the coming years.
Crue participates in the Final Event of the NEWLEAD Project
Brussels, 25 October 2023. On Wednesday 25th October, Crue participated as project partner in the Final Event of the NEWLEAD Project, organised by the European University Association in partnership with the Flemish Interuniversity Council (VLIR). The final event, led by Josep Maria Garrell, President of EUA, brought together project partners and stakeholders to reflect on the outcomes of the project and discuss how to shape the future of leadership development for university leaders in Europe
Crue meets with France Universités and the Spanish Ministry of Universities to promote participation in the European Universities Initiative
Barcelona, 14 September 2023. In the framework of the 2nd Forum of European University Alliances, Crue’s President Eva Alcón and the President of Crue-Internationalisation and Cooperation and rector of UNED, Ricardo Mairal, met with representatives of France Universités and the Spanish Ministry of Universities to seek formulas to help boost the participation of both university systems in the European Universities Initiative.
